Terms of service

These terms apply when you use CarHawk (operated by Platinum Digital Enterprise Pty Ltd, ABN 57 676 841 357). By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to them.

What CarHawk does

CarHawk analyses publicly advertised used-car listings, estimates market and wholesale values, and alerts you to cars that match the filters you set. Each alert links to the original advertisement. CarHawk is not a party to any sale: you deal with the seller directly and make your own decision to buy.

Valuations are estimates

Market values, wholesale values, repair estimates and evaluations are computer-generated estimates based on other listings and the information in the ad and its photos. They are not a mechanical inspection, appraisal or financial advice. Always inspect a vehicle and confirm its history before buying.

Plans and billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance in Australian dollars through our payment processor, Stripe.
Your plan renews automatically each month until you cancel.
Deal evaluations beyond your plan's monthly allowance cost A$2 each. PPSR checks are charged at the price shown before you run one.
Unused allowances do not roll over to the next month.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your next billing date after that.

Alert timing

Scanner and Dealer plans receive alerts 15 minutes after CarHawk finds a matching listing; Dealer Pro receives them immediately. We aim to find listings within minutes of them being published but cannot guarantee that every listing is found or that a car is still available when you contact the seller.

Your account

Accounts are for the named user. Dealer Pro includes three seats; sharing logins beyond your seats is not allowed.
You must not copy, resell or republish CarHawk data, or scrape or automate access to the service.
We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or are used for fraud.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time. See cancellations and refunds.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, CarHawk is not liable for any loss arising from a purchase decision, a listing's accuracy or a seller's conduct, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
